Album Review: Fear Factory - Genexus

Fear Factory has just release their ninth studio album on August 7th called Genexus.  The new album includes 10 tracks all with a cyber metal theme.

Im personally a big fan of Fear Factory.  Mostly the older stuff like "Descent" and "Edgecrusher" so I was pretty excited to listen to this album.

The whole album is classic Fear Factory with heavy guitar and synth mixed with their signature accentuated drums.  A few of the better songs on the album are "Regenerate" and "Expiration Date" which are structured a little different than the rest.  The songs use some samples and are a little more broken up.  The majority of the songs are hard driving and heavy with little change in tempo.  The whole album is pretty great if you like heavy music. but I was hoping for a little more tempo and pitch change just so there is some diversity.

Hardcore fans of Fear Factory I'm sure will eat this album up since it's just great hard and heavy music that sounds like it's Fear Factory.  All in all, it's just a kick-ass album all the way through.

Here is a video for the first single called Dielectric:

This album is meant for Fear Factory fans to enjoy.  They really put together a killer album.  To connect with them on their website go Here
